I waited a whole 25 mins for bus no. 7, resulting in me being late meeting up wif Chong Wei for the movie. Wah, there was suppose to be Joanne, Jo-Lyn n Paul, but all in the end fly aeroplane man. Anyway, we watched "The Last Samurai" by Tom Cruise. The movie was really good, well a bit violent though, but entertaining.

After movie n lunch, we headed to Tiong Bahru to meet Jo, Paul, Huixia n Nick as we were goin to SKS bookshop together. Well, Chong Wei n me did something stupid. We took bus 123 but in the wrong direction, n we only realise it when we were near Queensway. Anyway, we managed to get to Tiong Bahru MRT. Guess wat? Huixia n Nick did something even more stupid than us. They took mrt to Outram from Chinatown, n was suppose to change to the West Line, but they actually went to scan their Ezlink card. At least they did realised they needed to go back in again to take the West Line.

After much hassle, we finally arrived at SKS bookshop. Wow the bookshop is really huge, so many bks I wanna buy, but sobz.. no $$. Well, will come again to buy some bks b4 I leave SG.

Met up wif Don this mornin at Sim Lim Square as he wanted to get a digital player for his cousin. Anyway we headed down to NUS for Robin's talk on "If there's a God, why doesn't he make it more obvious?", and I invited Ming Xia along to the tok. Was suppose to meet Dong Mei to get the RV bears, but didn't manage to find her. Wow saw lots of ppl at NUS today, felt like I was studyin in NUS lolz. Saw Dengqi, Huifen, Geral, Huijing, Chengrong, n Jiana. Yeap anyway we were a bit late for the tok. The talk was alrite, but I guess due to time constraint, Robin could not really further elaborate on his talk. Well anyway after the talk, we gathered outside n chatted. Joy had a long conversation wif Ming Xia, n lent her a book to read. Cool! Glad that she came to this tok.

Okie forgot to help to advertise for Project Timothy. If you're too shy to contact the person who's helpin out with registeration, you can always call me. =)

Anyway, as for today, went to Huang Lao Shi's place to "bai nian". So long neba go her house lu. As usual, our class always full of late-comers man... really cannot make it. Those who came today were Ailian(Iris), Jinni, Wendy, Alexis, Guobang, Kaisin, Ronald, Yaohua, Yong Yuan, Zhiyi, Zheng Hong and me...... hopefully I did not miss anyone out. Well it was really great meetin up again as a class. Well, we are Huang Lao Shi's first batch of students tt she taught, and a faithful batch as well eh? Dun u agree guys n gals? We always visit her every yr, well of course as for me, I'm in Syd mar.. so different. Okie, as usual, our joker king is still the same, if not even more funny than ever. Yeap no need to guess.. its Zhiyi lu, who else can take his place.. lolz. And if some of u guys are wonderin what Alexis is goin in our class gatherin... lets say he was "invited" heh.....

Other than our classes, there were other grps of students there... haha all our juniors. However, its really shocking man, how impolite the students are nowadays man.. tsk tsk..... wats happenin to the education system?!! Even, some of us who are always cheeky still respect our teachers. Those junior kids dun even call Huang Lao Shi, Lao Shi, but call her "Lao Huang" ... Wah!! I can say tt our grp were mostly speechless man..... They shld be taught manners man. Anyway, we talked about RV stuff, discussin who would be the first to marry, etc. It was a fun gatherin. Yeap enjoyed myself today. =)

Muhaha, after a game of Gunbound, my brother treated my mum and I lunch. After lunch n shopping, it was almost 3pm and I had to get ready for the evenin service. Yup, invited Lisa to ARPC this week, as Marn also wanted to meet up wif her.

Today's sermon title is "What to remember this Chinese New Yr", and the passages were taken from Deuteronomy 8 & John 6:1-58.

Most of us Chinese are deeply concerned about the fact that we must have good life, i.e wealth and prosperity. Take a while to ponder about it, are we tt concerned of things of these world? If we do, then we should learn from the lesson in Deuteronomy 8, to remind ourselves to remember our Lord God who has given us everything, and that man does not survives on bread alone, but by the word frm the Lord. If we don't, Deuteronomy 8 serves as a gd reminder.

In Deut 8:3, we learn that God is the one who feeds us with the word, and we need to remind ourselves that. In Deut 8:2, we are taught about humility--- our pre-requiste in knowing God. However, over the years, people forget about God as sins make us believe that we can live without our creator, and this echoes what is said in Deut 8:17. However, we must not forget that God is a faithful God (Deut 8:7), and that we should praise & obey Him (Deut 8:10). Furthermore, we can see the similarities b/w John 6:27 and Deut 8:3, that mankind does not live on bread alone, but by the will of God --- Jesus, the true bread of life.

To summarise this, during this Chinese New Yr, we should remind ourselves how much we can thank God for all that He has given us. Wealth, prosperity, etc... these are not the things that God sees as what we need. What we really need is the bread of life, which is Jesus. Therefore, continue to seek, obey n serve God, to become more Christ-like, and seek the bread of life.

Nick Ang invited over to his place to do house-visiting. Yeah!! Haha... my first house visit during CNY since 2 yrs i tink. Anyway, I was suppose to meet Jojo at Jurong East MRT station, but well, ah hem... as usual someone is always late. Well, when we finally arrived at Nick's place, Jo-Lyn, Suelyn n Chong Wei were already there. Well, joinin them were Joanne, Mark n me.

We had lots of food, as well as Nick's Kueh Lapis! It was really gd!! Thx Nick for all the effort put in. Well other than tt, we chatted around, n not to mention about the jokes being made. Anyway, Mark and I left ar 11 plus, cos we had to catch the MRT n bus. It was raining, n my mummy was so nice. She called me up, and said she would come to Jurong East MRT station to pick me up. Hee... That's rite, my secondary sch. The first teacher I saw was Huang Lao Shi... so long neba since her liaoz, wonder when was the last time I actually saw her in person. The moment she saw me, she said "Wah, rare guest ar" .... lolz.. well can see how "often" I see her. Anyway, I managed to catch up with her, as well as other teachers like Mdm Teo, Miss Soh (Public Address teacher-in-charge), Miss Cheong, Mr Ang (my sec 4 Maths teacher, the nice teacher ever!!!), Mrs Yeo (track n field & cross country teacher-in-charge), n some other teachers in the chinese department. It was great to see the teachers once again. Well, okie I'm suppose to help advertise for Huang Lao Shi.

Yeap, as some of u RV'ians noe, RV is goin to be demolished and rebuilt. As such, they will need a sum of money for that. Thus, RV will be having a Cultural night on the 7th and 8th of Feb 2004, at Kallang Theatre. So pls do come and support. I will put up the details/program soon.

After all the visitng of teacher, I headed back to M'sia. We had to head to the M'sia immigration dept first to renew our ICs. Wow, for the first time, it only took our whole family 45 mins to renew it, although we have to collect them 2 months later. Anyway, M'sia out there, please renew your ICs before 31/12/2005, otherwise you will have to pay then to renew yr ICs. Also, it will be better n faster if you make an appointment date to renew yr IC rather than goin down early to queue up for the ticket. Please also do not wear reflective clothing, otherwise you would have to wear their black coat which makes u look a bit wierd.

Okie I must say that this yr's renuion dinner was really bad. It took 15 mins for every dish to come, that by the 4th dish, my grandfather told off the waitress. Well, the dishes did come faster, but the food wasn't good at all. Anyway, we headed back to our grandparents' place where the distribution of Ang Baos happened. Woo hoo!!!! It's been quite a while since I personally received Ang Baos, as I'm usually back in Syd during tt period of time.

Other than tt, my younger cousins (all the boys) were surrounding me, asking me this n that... n then they ask me help them light up fireworks. haha.. they are all so adorable man. We were playin a game where I would like up a firework, and see to whom it would fly to. One of my cousins hid behind this tree pot, but he still got hit... lolz. After inhaling too much smoke, I decided to head back to the house. We took some photos, and then I was teachin my cousins (the gals) to play Big 2. I really had lots of fun this time, so much that I didn't really want to leave tt soon. Oh well, all fun things have to come to an end. =)

Nothin much happening today. Yaohua came over my house to get a few cds and of course to try out the game "3 Kingdoms II". Yeap as for dinner, my mum prepared steamboat for my dad and I. Well, my bro was workin.. haha... too bad for him.. kekes.. Anyway the steamboat plus bbq was really good. Haven't have this with my parents for a long time already. Hrm.... I just realised today how little I actually eat man. Well, nm... I guess it has always been like that. After helping out in washing the dishes, my dad and I headed to my dad's friend's shop to look for a labtop. Well, apparently the prices for notebks/laptops are quite standard. He suggested we buy it during the comp fair in March, argh... but by then I will be gone ar. Well, anyway might be goin M'sia to buy one. So sad Xia, maybe u might not be able to see Yingying.

With Chinese New Yr round the corner, there's so much thing to be done. Luckily, I already prepared in my mind wat I should do n where I shld aim to land if I fall. Thank God, I'm still in one piece... it ain't tt gd to be lyin in the hospital during the CNY, missing out all the fun.

Yeap after lunch, was discussing with my dad wat laptop to buy. In the end, we decided more or less on Fujitsu models. Haha.. Xia, u can name the notebook "Yingying" liaoz...

At 4pm as usual, I was out to play badminton. During my last 2 games, I teamed up wif Julian vs Andy and Jonathan. Whoa, it was the best 2 games I played ever since I came back. I gave it all I got in the 2 games, n it really felt great. The matches ended in a 1 win & 1 loss. Sadz, wun be badminton for the nxt 2 weeks to come, as it will be the CNY, and Jonathan's goin back to London tml to have CNY wif his family. Yeap at 4pm, headed to ARPC. I found today's sermon really gd, so did the other guys. Today's sermon's title was "The rules in God's family" on 1 Timothy 1:8-20 . From verses 8 to 11, we can see the lawful n unlawful use of the Law. It was interesting how in verse 9 to 10 was in relation to the 5th to 10th commandments in the 10 commandments. The purpose of the law was to define sins, exposing sins & condemning sins.

Both the laws in OT and Gospel are targetted against sinners & sins. (Law in OT were for God's ppl to follow, and Gospel is to save sinnders from sin & call them to godly living). However, false teachings always sabotage the essentials of God's teachings, and we have to be on our guard against false teachings. The sermon was also a gd reminder that we are all sinners, and that it is purely God's grace that we can enter His family. Therefore, we can say that our no.1 house rule is that we are to be sinners to be in God's family. Also we are reminded that, we ourselves are not to give false teachings, for in doing that it will be high-handed sins. (Meaning that we deliberately put away Jesus Christ). Yeap one thing we must know is the difference between confidence and arrogance. False teachers are the ppl who are arrogant, while X'ns who say that they will definitely go Heaven are ppl who are confident. Therefore, brothers n sisters, we can be confident that God receives sinners, for Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.

Met up wif Ming Xia today, accompany her to Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) cos she needed to change her passport photo. Thereafter we head to Bugis cos I wanted to check out the organisers at Muji. Wah.. super ex for one organiser..... hrm.. have to save money for it. Hopefully CNY got more angpao money... kekes...

As I wanted to get information about notebook/laptops, yeap u guessed it.. once again its Sim Lim Square. Hrm... I was purely lookin at Toshiba laptops, cos most likely my dad would want me to buy tt brand. Anyway, saw some Futjisu models which were very nice!! Xia also liked the Futjisu laptops, hrm.. most likely cos its silver in colour. According to Don, he was telling me that Futjisu models were gd to get.. yeap true enuff that they are nice models, but of course tt comes along wif a higher price compared to Toshiba notebks.

Upon leaving the place, Xia realised that she lost her bracelet which she bought in Taiwan. We traced our way back, n up the floors of Sim Lim until the 4th floor where we remembered somehow not seeing the bracelet already earlier back on (cos she was playin wif my fone when we were on the 4th floor, so didnt remember seeing the bracelet on her hand). Yeap, her bracelet is certified lost. Poor xia, the bracelet was only wif her for abt a month. Hopefully, the new owner aka the person who found it, will treat the bracelet nicely.

On this hot n humid day, I arrived at City Hall mrt station to meet my frens, but there was no sign of them. Y? Heh... ehh.. cos I was late lu... wat else. Anyway, gave them a call n met up wif Ben n Don, while Paul was still on his way, n Nick had to stay at home n help paint the house. How come only Focus guys, where are the gals? Well, the gals are having a gathering to discuss about evangelistic events they are goin to hold for the gals.

Okie back to the main subject. Our 1st stop was at TecMan bkshop at Bras Basah. Yeap its the one Sijie was helpin to 'advertise'. As we were browsing the bkstore, there wasn't any bks tt caught our eyes, well except for the bibles which had different covers. Either we already had some of the bks, or there wasn't anything which we would want to buy. We spend only about 15 mins b4 headin to our next destination which was Sim Lim Square. Ben wanted to survey the prices for a pair of control pads. Whereas, our dear Paul collected many of the price lists, sayin tt he need to catch up wif the 'world'. Well done Paul, glad tt U're back to reality... hee

Apparently, Ben said that Merril was suppose to meet us at 3pm, but no sight of him. Until we were leavin at 4pm, Merril sms Ben sayin something which made all of us faint.. couldnt remember wat was it.... something to do wif are we there yet or something close to tt. Anyway Ben had to leave first, n we sms Merril to meet us at Mac in Bugis Village. Guess wat? Well Merril said he needed to buy computer parts, so we had to walk back to Sim Lim Square.. lolz.. tink I did lots of walkin today man. Anyway, alls swell.. accompanyin our fellow bro, making sure he dun get cheated of his money. =)

p/s: Hey Sijie, u shld check out SKS bookshop, I heard its really huge

Nothing much done today, just came back frm M'sia yesterday. Yeap, we (Huiwen, Wendy, Yaohua, and me) had a farewell dinner for our dear Yuhua who's goin back to Hawaii. So happy for her, seeing her fighting for wat she really wanted. It was really funny during dinner, cos I couldnt eat seafood, Wendy didn't want duck or vegetables wif 'visible' garlic, Yuhua didn't want to eat vension. Well, as u can see we guys are so picky with our food tt the waitress couldn't tahan us choosing the food, ending up the captain himself coming to get our orders. The food was pretty okie, but well its the gathering which was impt, not the food. Glad to have met up wif them. Come to think of it, its the 1st dinner I had wif them since long time ago man. Hrm..... u noe, after tt dinner did I realise that gals do have a big appetite man, after dinner they still wanted dessert. As to who are the hungry ppl, heh take a guess for yrself. =P

Okie headin back out into the hot weather after taking a few photos in the restuarant, the gals wanted to go karaoke. I was telling them like if I went wif them, I would not have enuff money to take a cab home man. Anyway, I really couldnt join them as I had to go back to make a few fonecalls to the Focus guys to confirm the venue n time for tml's meetin/outing. Yeap, bon voyage to Yuhua, n pray that all works out fine for u yar? Can't wait to receive the "red bomb" from u.. kekes..

Heh, well today my mummy brought me to Jean Yip for a hair cut... hee..... sounds fun. Okie okie... I'm easily amused can? When I was having my haircut, my mum had her hair treatment at the same time. Half-way thru the haircut, the hair-dresser suggested that I had spa, and treatment for my hair. Hrm... I was like... huh? Anyway my mum agreed to it, cos she say let me enjoy n relax... kekes.. hrm.. the spa was very cooling, they applied some gel/shampoo on my head, then had this machine at the side blowin cool air. After that they wrapped my head n attached some machine for treatment. Heh, seems very funny to me, but well there's always a first time for everything. Somehow I feel so "tai tai" man... haha..

When I reached home, I was so tired I just feel on my bed n slept for an hr or so. I think most prob was b'cos I was so tired from yesterday's badminton game, and I slept late n woke up early. Didn't really do much for the rest of the day. Anyway, as I was lookin at some photos, I saw a pic I took wif my cousin few yrs back. She was really so cute, n mine has she grown. (See the photo below n compare it to the entry on Sun 4th Jan 2004).

Yeap its a Sun, could say tt I just spent my whole day at home helpin out wif the cleaning of our house as Chinese New yr is just round the corner. Other than that, I was watchin the show "In the beginning" that Xia helped me recorded. Well it was quite interesting to see something acted out from the bible. Overall, I think that the show was alrite, but there are many parts which they've skipped, n I think that those who have not read the bible b4 will be a bit blur. Anyway, at around 3pm, went out wif my mum to do grocery shopping. Boi was it crowded man. Well I guess everyone's shopping for CNY. We went to IMM to buy the groceries. Argh..... I hate crowds, this little trolley n I was just moving like maybe 1m/s. It was just crazy, imagine human traffic, and I tot car traffics are terrible enuff already. Finally, getting the stuff we needed, we got out of the busy n crowded area. My mum sent me to Clementi as I was playin badminton. Its been ages since I joined this gang to play badminton again. Oh this gang, most of them are from ARPC as well. I didn't play quite well today, made lots of mistakes... argh... well but had a few gd games as well, esp the last one... it was really exciting. By the time I got home, I'm really half-alive ... mum was wonderin whether I was awake while eating dinner man..... hee.. anyway think maybe might rest early.

This afternoon, I went out wif my parent to Jurong East to have lunch. Hrm.. apparently the food wasn't as gd as last time. The soup must have a lot of msg man, cos I was thristy for hours. >_< After lunch, we went down to Optical 88 to make a new pair of specs for me. Heh, in the end got a specs which comes wif a clip on, cos my mum say then I do not need to change the lens for my sunglasses. Well, my degrees on both eyes went up by 25. Its gd, considering the fact that I have not change my specs for the past 2 yrs, and that I'm always in front of the comp. Wow I didn't noe buyin specs n lenses could be so ex man, nevertheless wif my dad around, there's nothing he can't bargain for.. lolz. And my dad got a new pair of spare specs, as Optical 88 were havin an offer whereby the 2nd pair of specs (limited to certain frames.. otherwise we would choose the ex one man.. hee) is only $44.

By the time everything's done, we arrived home around 4pm. My dad wanted to go Suntec City to visit my bro, as he's working there... family support. Whereas, I was heading to church. Cool, this week Lisa invited me to her church, well it's just next door to my church... heh.. so no difference in the direction I was heading. Yeap, my dad drove me down to my church as I wanted to collect my badminton bag from Huixia. Hey Xia thx heaps for helpin me carry tt heavy bag, and thx a lot of the cute ducky heh.

Yeap, well Trinity Church is bigger than my church (ARPC).. tts obvious when u see it from the infrastructure of the building. Okie, got to meet a few of Lisa's frens like David. As usual, church starts of with praise and worship. However, there wasn't really much of a sermon today. Lisa was also wondering why to, cos she said that usually they would have a sermon. Nevertheless, singing praises to God is still great. After the service, went back nxt door to ARPC to say hi to Ben n Faith, as well as some of the Ex-Focus n Focus ppl, b4 heading off with Lisa to Orchard for dinner.

The funny thing is that, both Lisa n I stood at the bus-stop outside Singapore Bible College for quite a while b4 we realise that there isn't any bus from tt bus-stop to Orchard. Just as we were walking to another bus-stop which has a bus to Orchard, we saw some of the Focus on their way for dinner. Heh, Lisa n Faith met b4 back in Syd, so they chatted for a while, while I was chatting wif Ben.

Finally got to Orchard after waiting 15 mins for the bus. It was great meetin up wif Lisa, since we last met in Syd. Chatted on some Gospel stuff, her church and my church in Syd (Focus). Was suppose to have supper wif the RV councillors at 9pm, but duno y the juniors decided to cancel it off last min. Argh.. sadz... cant meet up wif some of the other guys. Well, alls gd.... get to go home n rest.

After a gd rest yesterday, today went to meet my nu-er(daughter) at JP. Somehow just dun understand wat's so nice abt JP man... I'm so sick of tt place.. lolz.. Anyway, well somehow she was late due to her briefin at NTU. So I went to play KOF 2002 at the arcade while waiting for her. Wow, there's this guy who's crazy man... keep challenging me even though he kept losing. He lost 10 rounds to me, then someone else challenged. 10 rounds = $5 man... crazy dude.. too much money man tt guy. My nu-er came when i was on my 6th round... I carried on to the 12th round and decided to stop n go for lunch, cos well my nu-er was hungry n also the fact that the other guy spent so much money! I guess the guy wld be wondering why his opponent is not movin at all haha (cos the machines are faced opposite each other, so u can't see the opponent). Anyway, we had Long John Silver... hrm. reminds me of the gd old sec sch days where my frens n I would hang out in LJS at JEC. Following that, we went shoppin for her working clothes. Argh... I'm so sick of JP... I wonder how many times I have walked that place man. Well currently, there are 2 places which I'm really sick of. One is JP, the other is Orchard. Hello ppl, SG is not tt small ya noe.. there are other malls to go to. Well okie, at least saw familiar ppl like Wenting and Yinghao.

After tt I rushed to Bugis, cos was goin to Ben n Faith's place. Well, I did a beri toppid thing. Their place is at Bishan, but I tot it was at Bugis. Upon reachin Bugis MRT station, I called Ben, n realised my toppid mistake. Well then... its back into the MRT... back to City Hall. Hey guess wat? I met Robin Gan, been wanting to know how to contact him ever since I saw him at Eric n Mel's wedding. Heh, thank God for tt... isnt too bad making tt toppid mistake after all. He was just on his way home, and yeap found out the date when he's goin to give his speech at NUS, but he doesn't noe the exact details yet. Yeap, it was great catchin up with him. Upon arriving at Ben's house, well only Tiffany was there. Well the guys (Ben n I) played Fifa 2004, while the gals (Faith & Tif) played the boardgame Risk, b4 we headed down to Bishan Junction 8 to meet Don & Huixia for dinner.

Well then, after filling our stomaches.. it was to Nick's place for Bible study. Ehh, the funny thing is tt we got lost halfway. Cos, he stays quite far frm the main road... nevertheless we got there safely. For bible study today, we were concluding on the final series of this Matthias Media bk called "Bold I approach" abt the study of prayers. The bible study was great! Many atimes we always give excuses as to not prayin, when actually its ourselves, our own sinfulness which hinder us from doin so. We shld always be consistent in our prayers (Romans 12:12), and do not be anxious about anything, but in everything pray to God for nothing is too little or too big for God (Philippians 4:6-7). We should also pray with the right motives, and not for our own indulgence n passions. For how can we be friends of God and friends of this world at the same time? Therefore, we shld stop being double-minded, but continue to humble ourselves before the Lord, n resist the devil (James 4:1-10). As in the example of Martha, we have a choice to choose how we wan to serve our Lord (Luke 10:38-42). We can also see from Jame 5:16-17 that God does listen and answer prayers. Whether God says 'Yes' or 'No' to our prayers, we know that he still listens to our prayers. Some ways we discussed on how to improve on prayin are prayin at times when u're most afresh and keeping yr prayers short so as not to drift away during yr prayer time. Also, we could pray in grps to encourage one another, making yrself discpline, however we cannot be overly dependant on grp prayers, otherwise it would defeat the purpose of ourselves praying regulary. Last of all, remember that prayer is a prestige, and our way of relating to God. =)

Waking up this mornin, I looked wearily at my comp and saw that the defragmenation was only at 53%. I rubbed my eyes, couldnt believe it as I left my comp on the whole nite to defragment. Seriously cannot make it man.. Anyway went to NUS today to meet Wendy and Yaohua @12pm at Sci canteen. We chatted and showed them some of the photos which I took back in Syd. After which Yaohua left for classes at 1pm, leavin me n Wendy not knowin wat to do for the rest of the time. We decided to go to the bizzare to look ard. Wendy upon seeing the ice milo, said tt must go drink cos beri nice haha.. well the milo was okie except tt its a bit sweet leh. Poor Wendy, she got her left ear injured and cant really hear properly, so I have to always be on her right hand side to tok to her.

As there was so much time b4 she had her nxt class, and b4 i meet Ben & Faith, we decided to go Orchard, and went to library at Taka. Wow this Wendy is happenin, start of term only and is already plannin for her trip to Europe after she grads. She said we (Yaohua, Huiwen, Xylia, Zhiyi, etc... the usual gang) must save money and then travel together to one country. Wow.. difficult to save money for trips man. Anyway upon reachin 3pm I left and headed towards Popular bkshop located above Orchard MRT station to meet Ben & Faith.

Yeap, Ben and I chatted on how I was doing back here and just a bit on rest of Focus. I think its really great to meet up with God's ppl continously to spur and encourage one another. After much chatting, we headed to NYDC at WheelLock to meet Huixia to get sermon outline from here. Yeap there will be a Bible study at Nick's place this Fri cool! Well b4 that will be goin Ben's place to chill out.. hehe.. Anyway after all this, I headed home. Wow the journey home was really tiring. I was so tired that I just slept thru the whole journey. Well, guess I'm gettin old.. heh...

Well, today I headed to my xiaomei's house to fix her comp. Guess what, on my way there, the bus broke down at the junction just after the RV stop along AYE. How suei can one get man? Not to mention I have to go and claim back my money for my Ezlink card. Well finally after much hassle, I arrived at my xiaomei's place. Spent the whole afternoon tryin to reformat the comp, but well all the cds didn't work somehow. Argh..... wats this man.. cannot make it. In the end I left her place w/o finishin fixing her comp, just left her with the instructions. She was goin back to HCJC for orientation heh.. while i was headin to JP to meet Zhirong for arcade. Well at the end of the day, Xiaomei managed to format her comp and get it up running. Good on ya mate! Oh I got a new mattress to sleep on! Yipeee!! Heh ever since I was back in M'sia, I slept on this mattress which was too soft, resulting in a backache for me. Therefore, my mum went to buy a new mattress for me back in SG. hee..

... continuation of my JB trip entry.....

Well upon returnin back to JB frm KL, I was back to the same old routine of waking up, eat, watch TV, read, eat, sleep, read, eat, watch TV, sleep... well u get the idea... It was a pity I couldn't join the Focus guys for the Focus annual get together thingy, as well as the X'mas dinner. Well back here, I went to my aunt's church for X'mas celebration on the eve of X'mas. Other than the worship n praise session, there was a skit on birth of Jesus Christ. I think the skit was really great.. the effort they put in, the costumes.. everything was wonderful. It was great cos I think its really a gd time to evangelise to people, lettin them know more about Jesus, thus the skit was really gd to let ppl have something visual to see. Recallin back to one of the sermons I attended at ARPC before I left for JB, Rev John Ting preached on the meaning of Christmas, that X'mas shows God's trustworthiness and His love in action. In this modern world, so many of us take Christmas as just another public holiday for celebration, without knowing why we celebrate it, when the real meanin is that Jesus was born on that day. And we celebrate it in rememberance of God's love for us where God sent his one and only son into this world that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal life. (John 3:16) Overall, it was a great time.. got to meet other brothers & sisters in Christ from my aunt's church.

Well as for today, went to meet up with Ming Xia, and crash her lecture at NUS. She so cham... cos of her bidding modules... cannot get to study wat she wants. Anyway, it was great to see you again, Xia. Dun worry yar? Hopefully u can get something to study heh.. hopefully not some subjects which is too ulu... After that i went to meet Guobang at the arts canteen. Saw Lenco too, well he looks taller to me now. After all these, Guobang n I headed down to Doby Ghaut to meet Iris and Yaohua for the movie, Lord of the Rings - The return of the King. Wow, I didn't expect the show to be so long ----- 3.5 hrs. Anyway, the show was really great, I think the best among the trilogy. As usual, Legolas is so shuai inside!! *drools* Yeap, by the time i got home it like almost 12am man...

Okie wat have I been doin the past whole month in JB. Well most of the time I was at my aunt's place, eating, sleeping, watchin TV, and doin some readyings. Other than that I was at my uncle's place with this little cute angel. (See pic below)

Well during the 3rd week of December, I went to KL wif my family. Well the drive up was quite boring, cos i mean how interesting can the highway, trees and cars be man? Finally upon reachin KL, we checked in at this hotel called "Quality Hotel". OKie guys, dun be fooled by the hotel's name, although its really Quality Hotel, but well its not one of the top-notch hotels. We went to a few colleges ard in KL to find a college for my brother to study in as he has just finished his A's. After doin all those stuff, we went out to shop n we ate at this ex resturant called Outback Steakhouse, but the food there is really gd! Other than tt, as usual my brother went bowling at Sunway Lagoon and I went for a haircut.

After 3 days, we moved to a new hotel called Berjaya Times Square. Whoo hoo, its really a cool hotel man. Stayin on the 41st floor wif a great overview of the city. To add on, there are 400 shops and an indoor theme park, what more can one ask for? To even window shop in one day is just impossible. I spent 2 days window shoppin and still havent yet viewed every shop. Other than tt, my bro n I went to play at the theme park. It was really fun with unlimited rides. Towards the end, I took this toopid ride, and it almost made me puked. For the rest of the afternoon, I felt really sick. Other than that, we bought lots of stuff and ate lots of gd food. Shucks, the day I left KL was also the day Jo-Lyn, Dor and the rest who just arrived in KL, and they also stayed in the same hotel.. argh... well not fated I guess. Okie I'm goin to stop here about my trip otherwise the entry will be too long, I will carry on in my next entry. (The pic on the left is me, my bro and my dad lookin at the roller coaster rides)

Well, as for today, met up wif Noeline before she flies back to UK. Its been ages since I last saw this babe. What can I say? She still looks as gorgeous as ever, not to mention corny as well. We walked ard Orchard for i tink 2 hrs eh? Nevertheless it was great meeting up with u. Hey we both forgot to take photos.. argh. so smart.. both of us brought cameras but didnt use it -_- ... now i have to wait till the end of the yr. And well most prob I won't be able to send you off in the mornin, as its really too early! Well babe, all the best for last semester. Hang in there yar?

Harlow ppl! Yeap, I guess most of you guys must be wondering where I have disappeared to eh? Well, in short i was in M'sia for the past whole month. As for the details, it will be written in my nxt entry. Cos today is a joyous moment for a couple. Yeap! Its Eric n Mel's wedding! Dressing up in my shirt n pants, & geared wif my camera, I headed off towards The Tanglin Club. Okie, its really hot dressing in shirt in SG compared to Sydney. Hrm..... I can't imagine how I will survive working in a humid country man in the near future. Upon reachin, I saw Jojo's mum, as well as lots of Focus ppl. It really heart-warmin to see everyone again. Miss all of them. Even Sampson who was in Johor came all the way up to attend the wedding. Its just so sweet seeing couples getting married. Thank God for bring Eric n Mel together, n helpin them to presevere in their r/s. Pray that they will continue to stay firm in their faith and to have a Christ-centered r/s. After the ceremony, there was lunch reception, and of course photo takin session. Took a few photos here n there, n caught up wif a few gd old frens.

Well yeap as usualy Focus is always the last grp to leave the premises. I guess it has already become a tradition. It's just amazing how we can drag the time before actually heading to a destination. Esp during Sun lunches, after the lunch announcement is made, well ppl will still be chi-chatting n stuff, n somehow after an hour or so, then will we start movin towards the restuarant. Somehow i cant really explain this 'amazing phenomena'. Yeap so we headed towards one of the cafes near WheelLock. However, I didn't join the gang as I needed to change n get myself ready for the evenin service.

On today's sermon, Pastor Chris Chia talked about Sprirtual Warfare. Its really a good reminder to us that our enemy is Satan and not you or I. As quoted by Chris Chia, how many of us leave the old year and enter the new year, still having Satan as the same enemy? Recognition of the real enemy is important, otherwise how are we goin to fight an enemy whom we do not know. Althought there's the enemy, the amour of God is supplied to us by God for this battle! Most important of all, we know that God and his people will be victorious in the end. Yeap so brothers and sisters, carry on to stand firm in your faith, say NO to ungodliness, and worldy passions, instead live a godly and righteous life worthy of the calling. Most of us after returnin back to our home country would have faced troubles or strugglin to carry on with wat we have started back in Focus, as we have lots of non-X'n frens n relatives ard us. Its easy to start the race, but to finish it isnt easy. So dun lose hope, and carryin on meetin up wif one another, prayin for one another, and spuring one another on towards love n gd deeds. (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Yet another tiring day for me. Well at least its better than being bored. Yeap yeap, Project Timothy held a talk on "The Truth about Jesus" for today as well as yesterday. Before the talk, we had to help in preparation of the food yesterday and today. When I reached ARPC yesterday, to my amazement, with ard $100 they actually could really get so much food. During the process of cutting, I would say I have never ever seen so much "you zha guei" in my life man. The food we had was really enough to feed an army man. Well so much about people gettin hungry eh? Anyway, I got to meet Pastor Christopher Chia! His first question to me was, "So you just came back from Focus too?".. hrm.. I wonder is it b'cos I have a Focus look. Other than that, got to meet the other staff members of ARPC. Yeap yeap, these 2 days were great, cos not only that I got to know so many new friends, but also get to serve others and also to listen to well part of the talk.

So yeap after preparation and transportation of the food, we finally arrived at St Andrew's Cathedral. Well, we had to help arranged the food, or rather display it so that it will appeal to the audience when there is a break session from the talk. Well, other than me, many of our brothers n sisters helped out in the kitchen, the bookstore, being ushers, and as well as the reception.

The talk started off with singing, praises to God. Yeap also got to know this gal Jessie, and she was doing the song leading. Sometimes when she talks, she sounds like Joanne. Well, but she has an amazing voice! She really sings well, as good as any pop singer stars out there. It makes you wan to follow her n sing too! Following that we started the talk. The guest speaker was Paul Barnett from Sydney. Yesterday, he started the talk on Luke, saying that Luke was a historian. He elaborated on it saying that Luke's writings were true and factual, thus we know that the Gospel is not about ideas or philosophy, but conrete real world where God sent his son, Jesus to die for us. (If anyone wants the sermon notes, pls e-mail me or icq me.) The second half of the talk was on the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. The talk started of with historical evidence to prove the above, and how people came up with alternative explanation to this event. However, one thing I thought was true was that the New testament was never set out to prove Jesus's resurection in the first place. If you remove the resurrection event, then the NT would just fall apart, and nothing will make sense. And also, if there was no resurrection, then evil will be king.

After the talks, we had to help clear up the leftover foods, as well as the garbage. At the end of the day, everyone was dead tired. Yeap that explains why I'm so tired, but I was happy to serve my fellow brothers and sisters! Oh and I bought a book which I always wanted to buy at Koorong which is called "Guidance and the Voice of God". Overall, I had a great day.

Weather reports frm Jo n Xia that it is a sunny and windy day in Sydney, great for goin to beaches (unfortunately they can't as exams are approaching). On the other hand, it is a wet and rainy day here in Singapore. I think even if it is bright and sunny in SG, I wouldn't go to the beach too, cos the beaches here are not as nice as those in Syd, and its super humid. The moment u step out of your house, yr skin becomes sticky not soon after.

Poor me, have to brave the rain, and head to the dental clinic to have my teeth checked out. Well, the dentist told me my wisdom tooth was not really growin straight heh.. but well, as long as it doesnt hurt, and I can still eat, heh..... dun really pay attention to it anyway. Other than that, he cleaned my tooth, and eeks... I hate the grinding sound when he scales yr teeth.

Other than that did nothing much for the rest of the day. Well my bro just finished his GP today. That boi, when he came home yesterday, he gave this sad look, and said that it was bad. I was there comforting him, n tell him not too brood over it. Then after a while, he smiled and said he was joking. Well although I roughly knew he was acting, but hey thx bro, thx for makin me comfort u for no reason man........ lolz.. xiaomei told me she was quite confident about her Maths paper, hope she really does well for her A's.

Okie, I don't understand why people complain about their lives, wanting to end it sometimes. Yeap its true that sometimes the road may be tough, but don't point the finger at God and say its all your fault. Had a discussion with my fellow X'n fren, and I don't agree with him saying that God causes sufferings. We agreed on the fact that however God is in control of it. When we are happy, and everything is goin well for us, do we thank God for it? Do we even think abt God who gave all that to us? Well, that's for you to answer. However, when things start to go wrong, and everything seems just bad, you start to point at God, and ask him why. Some ppl normally who dun believe there's a God, but when they are in bad times, or they need help, they start to pray or blame God for everything. Irony isn't it? What are your opinions/thoughts on it then? Doesn't matter if you a X'n of non-X'n, pls feel free to leave yr comments. Yumz!! I know I sound like some "sua gu", but hey I haven't been back for quite some time. Other than that, the rest of the morning was boring, with nothing much to do.

Finally it was 3:45pm, as I eagerly head towards Clementi Sports Hall to meet my friends for badminton. Well, this week of badminton, I got to befriend a few new guys. Just realised that most of them are from ARPC as well (cos b4 that I only know Ling Hong who played badminton there). Got to know the ARPC Discipleship Grp leader from PUNJ too! (DG is like what we call bible study group). It's great meeting up with God's people, knowing that everyone's so enthusiastic about God's word. Yeap, we had 3 sets of doubles matches, and my partner and I won all of them. Really lucky or rather my partner was gd! It was great fun though, all of us were of about average skills, making it more challenging. Waiting for nxt week's re-match.. hee... Other than that, there was this gal, doing 3rd yr Comp Sci in NUS, she's funny cos' she jumps up n down whenever she scores... reminds me of Chun Li from Street fighter.. heh.. speaking of badminton miss playing with you guys (Ben, DC, Joanne, Juswan, Paul, Sam, Siang-ge, etc) back in Sydney. Can't wait for you guys to return home here n for those coming to visit SG.

Yeap, well my bro taking his A's tomorrow, as well as my Xiaomei. Hey will be praying for you guys, so gambatte ne! Also, all the best to all those who are takin their exams now, or soon.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge;
fools despise wisdom and instruction.
Proverbs 1:7 (ESV)

Okie, here's my second entry. Well, as someone.. ahheemm.... requested me to write longer, I will try to crap more. Anyway, well I woke up really early today considering the fact that I slept so in the mornin. Upon waking up, and starting up my comp, saw my dear fren minami.

Yeap, after catching up with her, I found out that she too has a blog page. Hrm... somehow it seems everyone is so into this thing man. CMI... however, the funny thing was that, she didn't really noe how to use it, and the only entry she had was with the word "Testing". Well, most of you guys can guess what happens nxt eh? Yeap, I ended up helping her to set up her blog site. She so picky with her background, she n her bear bear.. lolz.. well after all those done, she wanted to have a background midi playin for her blog too! Yeap, so gave her the HTML code for that, but it didn't work. Why? Cos she so smart lu, her link to her midi file doesn't even work in the first place. After so many tries, she finally gave up, and in the end, I helped her with the uploading of her midi file, and linking it there. Hey gal, you owe me a big big big big ice-cream wor. Remember to bring back yr horror movie leh, otherwise nobody to accompany you watch le.

Zhirong asked me out for "Matrix Revolution" today with the rest of the PA guys, but I've already promised Huijing for that show, so yeap have to keep to moi word. Apparently, those guys are goin to watch Matrix 1,2 and 3 together. Crazy man, by the time they finish it will be 5 in morning. They sure are a bunch of movie freaks.. wonder would anyone fall asleep halfway... Oh here's a link given by Joanne for those Matrix fans who wants to have a gd luff: The Meatrix

Anyway yeap, went for Church today. Today's sermon was on Daniel 8, by Chris Chia. Think the sermon was great today, it tells us to continue to persevere, and to keep trusting in God. Yeap, so brother n sisters in Christ, continue to have faith in Him, trusting and perserving, and that all is in God's control for He is a God who is faithful, and sovereign. Miss you FOCUS guys!! Please pray for the oncomin talk "The truth about Jesus" by Project Timothy, pray for the speaker Paul William Barnett that he will speak faithfully and clearly, as well as for fellow brothers and sisters helping out in this event, and also for non-X'ns that they may have open hearts, and receptive minds for the Gospel. You can check this event out at the following website:
 The Truth About Jesus

Okie, wah.. hrm.. seems like I really crap too much today. So here it is, my first attempt at doin this blog thingy, so still quite blur how it works. Anyway reading thru some of my fren's blogs, realised they always complain abt this, n that... hrm.. don't we have anything to thank God for? Haha, think I will use my blog thing to complain too! lolz.. Anyway, yeap hopefully, my blogpage can improve more when I am not that lazy to update it hee...

Yeap, still can't get use to the weather. Today's so hot!! Everyday in Singapore, I feel like a butter in a microwave melting away, whereas in Syd, I feel like a butter happily sitting there in the fridge. Sigh... miss Syd's weather, as well as frens and Focus ppl! Hope you guys out there are doin well. Study hard dudes! Will be prayin for you guys.
