Argh... sometimes I dun noe whether to say the bus service is gd or bad. I waited a whole 25 mins for bus no. 7, resulting in me being late meeting up wif Chong Wei for the movie. Wah, there was suppose to be Joanne, Jo-Lyn n Paul, but all in the end fly aeroplane man. Anyway, we watched "The Last Samurai" by Tom Cruise. The movie was really good, well a bit violent though, but entertaining.

After movie n lunch, we headed to Tiong Bahru to meet Jo, Paul, Huixia n Nick as we were goin to SKS bookshop together. Well, Chong Wei n me did something stupid. We took bus 123 but in the wrong direction, n we only realise it when we were near Queensway. Anyway, we managed to get to Tiong Bahru MRT. Guess wat? Huixia n Nick did something even more stupid than us. They took mrt to Outram from Chinatown, n was suppose to change to the West Line, but they actually went to scan their Ezlink card. At least they did realised they needed to go back in again to take the West Line.

After much hassle, we finally arrived at SKS bookshop. Wow the bookshop is really huge, so many bks I wanna buy, but sobz.. no $$. Well, will come again to buy some bks b4 I leave SG.

Met up wif Don this mornin at Sim Lim Square as he wanted to get a digital player for his cousin. Anyway we headed down to NUS for Robin's talk on "If there's a God, why doesn't he make it more obvious?", and I invited Ming Xia along to the tok. Was suppose to meet Dong Mei to get the RV bears, but didn't manage to find her. Wow saw lots of ppl at NUS today, felt like I was studyin in NUS lolz. Saw Dengqi, Huifen, Geral, Huijing, Chengrong, n Jiana. Yeap anyway we were a bit late for the tok. The talk was alrite, but I guess due to time constraint, Robin could not really further elaborate on his talk. Well anyway after the talk, we gathered outside n chatted. Joy had a long conversation wif Ming Xia, n lent her a book to read. Cool! Glad that she came to this tok.

Okie forgot to help to advertise for Project Timothy. Attention to all fellow X'ns and anyone who is interested, there will be a 6 series talk, Seeing the word of God, on The Book of Revelation by Dr Rev Allan Chapple. So if you would like to learn more about the book of Revelation, or if you just want to listen as to what Dr Rev has to say about Revelation, please do feel free to sign up for the talk. More details can be found at the Project Timothy website. Yeap, so hurry and sign up for it! If you're too shy to contact the person who's helpin out with registeration, you can always call me. =)

Anyway, as for today, went to Huang Lao Shi's place to "bai nian". So long neba go her house lu. As usual, our class always full of late-comers man... really cannot make it. Those who came today were Ailian(Iris), Jinni, Wendy, Alexis, Guobang, Kaisin, Ronald, Yaohua, Yong Yuan, Zhiyi, Zheng Hong and me...... hopefully I did not miss anyone out. Well it was really great meetin up again as a class. Well, we are Huang Lao Shi's first batch of students tt she taught, and a faithful batch as well eh? Dun u agree guys n gals? We always visit her every yr, well of course as for me, I'm in Syd mar.. so different. Okie, as usual, our joker king is still the same, if not even more funny than ever. Yeap no need to guess.. its Zhiyi lu, who else can take his place.. lolz. And if some of u guys are wonderin what Alexis is goin in our class gatherin... lets say he was "invited" heh.....

Other than our classes, there were other grps of students there... haha all our juniors. However, its really shocking man, how impolite the students are nowadays man.. tsk tsk..... wats happenin to the education system?!! Even, some of us who are always cheeky still respect our teachers. Those junior kids dun even call Huang Lao Shi, Lao Shi, but call her "Lao Huang" ... Wah!! I can say tt our grp were mostly speechless man..... They shld be taught manners man. Anyway, we talked about RV stuff, discussin who would be the first to marry, etc. It was a fun gatherin. Yeap enjoyed myself today. =)

Muhaha, after a game of Gunbound, my brother treated my mum and I lunch. After lunch n shopping, it was almost 3pm and I had to get ready for the evenin service. Yup, invited Lisa to ARPC this week, as Marn also wanted to meet up wif her.

Today's sermon title is "What to remember this Chinese New Yr", and the passages were taken from Deuteronomy 8 & John 6:1-58.

Most of us Chinese are deeply concerned about the fact that we must have good life, i.e wealth and prosperity. Take a while to ponder about it, are we tt concerned of things of these world? If we do, then we should learn from the lesson in Deuteronomy 8, to remind ourselves to remember our Lord God who has given us everything, and that man does not survives on bread alone, but by the word frm the Lord. If we don't, Deuteronomy 8 serves as a gd reminder.

In Deut 8:3, we learn that God is the one who feeds us with the word, and we need to remind ourselves that. In Deut 8:2, we are taught about humility--- our pre-requiste in knowing God. However, over the years, people forget about God as sins make us believe that we can live without our creator, and this echoes what is said in Deut 8:17. However, we must not forget that God is a faithful God (Deut 8:7), and that we should praise & obey Him (Deut 8:10). Furthermore, we can see the similarities b/w John 6:27 and Deut 8:3, that mankind does not live on bread alone, but by the will of God --- Jesus, the true bread of life.

To summarise this, during this Chinese New Yr, we should remind ourselves how much we can thank God for all that He has given us. Wealth, prosperity, etc... these are not the things that God sees as what we need. What we really need is the bread of life, which is Jesus. Therefore, continue to seek, obey n serve God, to become more Christ-like, and seek the bread of life.

Nick Ang invited over to his place to do house-visiting. Yeah!! Haha... my first house visit during CNY since 2 yrs i tink. Anyway, I was suppose to meet Jojo at Jurong East MRT station, but well, ah hem... as usual someone is always late. Well, when we finally arrived at Nick's place, Jo-Lyn, Suelyn n Chong Wei were already there. Well, joinin them were Joanne, Mark n me.

We had lots of food, as well as Nick's Kueh Lapis! It was really gd!! Thx Nick for all the effort put in. Well other than tt, we chatted around, n not to mention about the jokes being made. Anyway, Mark and I left ar 11 plus, cos we had to catch the MRT n bus. It was raining, n my mummy was so nice. She called me up, and said she would come to Jurong East MRT station to pick me up. Hee... Well, tt concluded my day more or less.

*Yawnz* Woke up quite early this morning, as I was meeting Zhirong at River Valley High School. That's rite, my secondary sch. The first teacher I saw was Huang Lao Shi... so long neba since her liaoz, wonder when was the last time I actually saw her in person. The moment she saw me, she said "Wah, rare guest ar" .... lolz.. well can see how "often" I see her. Anyway, I managed to catch up with her, as well as other teachers like Mdm Teo, Miss Soh (Public Address teacher-in-charge), Miss Cheong, Mr Ang (my sec 4 Maths teacher, the nice teacher ever!!!), Mrs Yeo (track n field & cross country teacher-in-charge), n some other teachers in the chinese department. It was great to see the teachers once again. Well, okie I'm suppose to help advertise for Huang Lao Shi.

Yeap, as some of u RV'ians noe, RV is goin to be demolished and rebuilt. As such, they will need a sum of money for that. Thus, RV will be having a Cultural night on the 7th and 8th of Feb 2004, at Kallang Theatre. So pls do come and support. I will put up the details/program soon.

After all the visitng of teacher, I headed back to M'sia. We had to head to the M'sia immigration dept first to renew our ICs. Wow, for the first time, it only took our whole family 45 mins to renew it, although we have to collect them 2 months later. Anyway, M'sia out there, please renew your ICs before 31/12/2005, otherwise you will have to pay then to renew yr ICs. Also, it will be better n faster if you make an appointment date to renew yr IC rather than goin down early to queue up for the ticket. Please also do not wear reflective clothing, otherwise you would have to wear their black coat which makes u look a bit wierd.

Okie I must say that this yr's renuion dinner was really bad. It took 15 mins for every dish to come, that by the 4th dish, my grandfather told off the waitress. Well, the dishes did come faster, but the food wasn't good at all. Anyway, we headed back to our grandparents' place where the distribution of Ang Baos happened. Woo hoo!!!! It's been quite a while since I personally received Ang Baos, as I'm usually back in Syd during tt period of time.

Other than tt, my younger cousins (all the boys) were surrounding me, asking me this n that... n then they ask me help them light up fireworks. haha.. they are all so adorable man. We were playin a game where I would like up a firework, and see to whom it would fly to. One of my cousins hid behind this tree pot, but he still got hit... lolz. After inhaling too much smoke, I decided to head back to the house. We took some photos, and then I was teachin my cousins (the gals) to play Big 2. I really had lots of fun this time, so much that I didn't really want to leave tt soon. Oh well, all fun things have to come to an end. =)

Nothin much happening today. Yaohua came over my house to get a few cds and of course to try out the game "3 Kingdoms II". Yeap as for dinner, my mum prepared steamboat for my dad and I. Well, my bro was workin.. haha... too bad for him.. kekes.. Anyway the steamboat plus bbq was really good. Haven't have this with my parents for a long time already. Hrm.... I just realised today how little I actually eat man. Well, nm... I guess it has always been like that. After helping out in washing the dishes, my dad and I headed to my dad's friend's shop to look for a labtop. Well, apparently the prices for notebks/laptops are quite standard. He suggested we buy it during the comp fair in March, argh... but by then I will be gone ar. Well, anyway might be goin M'sia to buy one. So sad Xia, maybe u might not be able to see Yingying.
